MOUNTING SAFETY:
It is recommended to apply a drop of threadlocker when fitting wheel studs or screws during the installation of track-widening spacers.
The tightening torques recommended by the vehicle manufacturer must be respected. Nuts, bolts and screws must be tightened in a cross pattern.
Tightening nuts, bolts or screws without using a torque wrench creates uncertainty regarding the tightening quality. To ensure the safety of a correct and secure tightening, the use of a torque wrench is strongly recommended, as it is the only reliable method to comply with the torque values specified by the manufacturer. The use of a pneumatic impact gun is strictly prohibited, this is to:
- prevent damage to wheels, screws, nuts and mounting studs
- allow uniform tightening of all nuts or bolts.
- facilitate removal and ensure it remains possible using the vehicle's original toolkit.
